Tahoma High School Parade Band
This is Tahoma High School's annual appearance in our home town Maple Valley Days Parade! This year they are performing a Spanish Parade Sequence. The cadences have been arranged by our own student drumline captain, Jeff Fermstad. Drum Majors are Aiden Abadilla and Brenna Billings. Drumline coach is Mr. Aaron Sturgill. The Tahoma Band is under the direction of Mr. Matthew Cole. This year the fall field show marching band won 2 field show competitions in all 6 categories including the People's Choice Award and won 5th place in the Northwest Field Show Regionals! Next year, the Tahoma High School Band and Orchestra will be traveling to Disneyland and California Adventure!

Tahoma Special Olympics
Back by popular demand are our Maple Valley Special Olympians. They consist of Maple Valley Special Athletics which has our adult athletes and provides year round sports for all persons with special needs, and Tahoma School District's Special Olympics which provides basketball in the fall and track in the spring for athletes ages 8 to 21 years old. These athletes push themselves to their limits and take pride in their achievements. All of these athletes that you see before you earned a gold, silver, or bronze medal at the recent regional track meet and will be advancing to the Special Olympics State Games on June 17th, 18th, and 19th at Pacific Lutheran University.
Now they would like to pause for a minute and recite the Special Olympics Oath:

The Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority is proud to be a member of the Greater Maple Valley community and to serve our citizens 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by approximately 350 staff and firefighters.
The Zone 3 Fire Cadet Program is dedicated to training young men and women to become the first responders of the future.
The Zone 3 Fire Cadet mini fire engine was refurbished and brought back to life by the Cadets to share with the community in parades and to be displayed at community events. The Greater Maple Valley Community and Puget Sound Fire are very fortunate to have such a great group of Cadets and Cadet Leaders serving the community.
