Grand Marshal
The Rumson Parade committee is truly honored to welcome our 2022 Grand Marshal, Charles Hill Jones. Charles was raised in New York City and Northern Virginia. After spending a decade in Manhattan, Charles and his wife of 60 years, Hope Haskell Jones, returned to Hope's roots in Monmouth County to raise their three children, daughter Hope, and sons Charles Hill III, and Henry in Rumson.
Together with Hope, who served as President of the Monmouth County Historical Association for several years, the Jones's have devoted themselves to multiple civic and educational organizations. Hope's father was the Founder and Chairman of the Monmouth Park Jockey Club and originated the annual charity fundraiser, The Monmouth County Hunt Race Meet, known as "The Hunt", which was held for many years on the Haskell property in Middletown.
Currently Charlie and Hope split their time between their homes in Little Silver and Palm Beach, Florida. We are truly honored that Charles leads our parade today.
