In April 2020, the Redgate family received information that First Lieutenant Redgateâs remains were positively identified and returned to the United States on September 14th 2021.
William Francis Dalton was born in Boston. As a resident of Dorchester MA, William enlisted in the United States Army on April 8, 1943 and began active duty that same day and served during World War II. William served as Sergeant with the 66th Infantry Division and the 262nd Infantry Regiment.
