This 1953 GMC fire truck is owned by the Gilbert Historical Society and is being driven by Fire Chief Jim Jobusch. This beautifully restored truck was used by Gilbertâs Volunteer Fire Department and served the citizens of Gilbert for many years. Riders are members of the Board of Directors and friends of the Society. Higley High Marching Band
The Higley Marching Knights are the most visible part of the band program at Higley High School. They can be seen at home and away football games, and they perform for the school every Friday just before the first class. They keep a busy fall schedule competing in various marching competitions around the Phoenix metro area. They traveled to San Diego in 2019 to participate in the Holiday Bowl parade and halftime show. In 2022 they will be traveling to Washington D.C. to represent Arizona in the National Memorial Day Parade and Concert Series.

The Gilbert Tiger Pride is one of the most decorated marching bands in the State of Arizona and has been a finalist every year in the Arizona State Marching Band Championships since it began in 2008. The Highland Marching Band is in its 25th season as a competitive marching band. This band competes all over the southwest United States and has consistently won field competitions in California, Nevada, and here in Arizona which includes winning the first ever ABODA State Marching Band Championship in 2009 and AzMBA Championships in 2016. The Highland Marching Band has had the privilege to march in the 2001 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, the 2004 Macyââ¬â¢s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, and here at home in the Gilbert Dayââ¬â¢s Parade.

"Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop 522 are traditional units located in Gilbert, AZ and chartered in November 2009 through Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
The Pack & Troop is in the Lost Dutchman District of the Grand Canyon Council. We currently have over 70 boys in both units.
Pack & Troop 522 provide a quality scouting program to youth in Gilbert, Mesa, Higley, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley.
Cub Scouts is for boys in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Boy scouts are for young men from 11 yrs old until 18.
