Sheriff Don Barnes & The Orange County Sheriff's Department
Sheriff Don Barnes was elected the 13th Sheriff-Coroner of Orange County in November 2018. He began his law enforcement career with the Orange County Sheriffs Department in 1989. With three decades of public safety service, Sheriff Barnes leads a multi-faceted law enforcement agency with a proud tradition of service to the residents of Orange County since 1889. On behalf of the men and women of the Orange County Sheriffs Department, Sheriff Barnes wishes all, a safe and happy 4th of July!
Along with Sheriff Barnes is the Orange County Sheriff's Department Vehicles including The Code Enforcement Vehicle and the World's Famous STARS Van. When you see the World's Famous STARS Van, be sure to wave hello! You can see them riding around Lake Forest protecting and serving the city.

The Lees Legion Color Guard is comprised of members of the Orange County and Harbor Chapters of the California Society, Sons of the American Revolution. The color guard wears historically correct Continental Army uniforms and carries a Revolutionary Era 13 star United States flag, the California State flag, the Sons of the American Revolution flag, the Lees Legion flag and Brown Bess Musket reproductions similar to those used during the Revolutionary War era.

Mayor Mark Tettemer (Tett-e-mer)
Next is Mark Tettemer, the Mayor of the City of Lake Forest. Joining Mark are his wife Brenda, daughter Kylie, and son Garrett. Mark and Brenda have lived in Lake Forest for 24 years. They have volunteered for PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Kiwanis, Relay for Life, El Toro Grad Nite, the Lake Forest 5K, and the Parade Committee. Mark was a Council member from 2004 to 2012, and was Mayor in 2008 and 2009.

During the great potato famine, many immigrating Scots and Irish found work as firefighters. The Celtic (Kel-tic) tradition of playing pipes for funerals and other ceremonies spread throughout the fire service. The OCFA brought that tradition to the west coast. Mayor Pro Tem, Neeki Moatazedi (Mo-at-zed-ee)
Elected to City Council in 2018, Neeki grew up in Saddleback Valley and feels honored to be serving the City of Lake Forest. Neeki decided to settle in Lake Forest in 2016 due to its community feel and natural beauty with various trails and parks.
In addition to representing residents of District 2, Neeki serves on the board of the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) and works for the Southern California Gas Company. Neeki is focused on keeping our city safe, fiscally strong, and beautiful. She and her family wish you all a Happy Fourth of July.

Council Member, Leah Basile (Basil)
Leah Basile has been on the city council for three years. Leah has called Lake Forest home since 1997, and she has been married to Michael for ten years and has two wonderful boys, Joel and Mikey.
Today, former Councilmember Tom Cagley is also riding with her.
During her term, Leah was instrumental in resolving a major lawsuit between the City and Lake 1 HOA. It was her initiative that gave the City Council real term limits. She also helped initiate a traffic and parking commission to help address local traffic issues. In addition, Leah was instrumental in remodeling Village Pond Park, now known as Veterans Park.

Here we have Scott Voigts, who was elected to the Lake Forest City Council on November 2, 2010. Scott has been a resident of Lake Forest since 1978. His wife Stephanie of 28 years joins him along with their 15 year old daughter Shaelynn who is their pride and joy. Stephanie spent 7 years as a Girl Scout Leader for their daughter's troop. Scott's faith is a driving force behind his passion to serve his community. He is committed to limited government, fiscal responsibility, local business growth and an adherence to the Constitution. Scott tries to live by his motto "Let us strive to make a difference".
He calls "LAKE FOREST THE GATEWAY TO SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY." He states that Lake Forest is geographically blessed, but the people are its greatest asset.

Compass Bible Church is located in Aliso Viejo. City Manager, Debra Rose
This is Debra Rose's 19th year with the City, and third year as City Manager of Lake Forest. As the City Manager, Debra is responsible for the daily operations of the City, functioning as its Chief Executive Officer.
Debra is currently focused on building the new Lake Forest Civic Center. The Civic Center will include a community center, senior center, dual purpose City Council Chamber and performing arts venue, a community policing center, and City Hall. She encourages the community to check out the project by viewing the construction cam on the City's website. Lastly, Debra believes there has never been a better time to live and work in the City of Lake Forest.

They all came with a 40 horse power engines and could go as fast as 60 mph. most of these cars are restored and maintained by the members. and they all came with the famous AROOGAH horns!

Dr. Steven S. Choi was elected to represent Californias 68th Assembly District in 2016. Dr. Choi began his career in public service when he was elected to the Irvine Unified School District Board of Education in 1998. Serrano Creek Ranch Riders
This entry comes from our very own Serrano Creek Ranch. There are approximately 140 horses in those stables.
These 4 riders own the horses. The brown and white horse is Bugs, a 19-year old paint horse ridden by her owner, Natasha.
The black horse is Shadow, a 19 year old draft cross horse ridden by her owner, Megan. The caramel brown horse is Mija, a 15-year old Kiger mustang ridden by her owner, Rhonda. The champagne blonde horse is Buffy, a 16-year old Missouri Fox Trotter ridden by her owner, Kathy.
Did you know that the average age of a horse is 25 years old, but they can live into their early to mid-30s.

The Citys Planning Commission is a decision-making body tasked with reviewing matters related to planning and development in the City. The Planning Commission consists of five members: Chair Thomas Ludden, Vice-Chair David Carter, Commissioner Mark Armando, Commissioner Francisco Barajas, and Commissioner Jolene Fuentes.
The Citys Traffic and Parking Commission advises the City Council on issues relating to parking and the safe and efficient movement of traffic. The Traffic and Parking Commission consists of five members: Chair Jim Richert, Vice-Chair Jordan Villwock, Commissioner Benjamin Yu, Commissioner Mike James, and Commissioner Robert Pequeno.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritans Purse, collects shoebox gifts filled with school supplies, hygiene items and fun toys and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate Gods love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.

They regularly host hands-on activities at local schools to inspire students to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Cub Scout Pack 639
Cub Scout Pack 639 is excited to participate in the City of Lake Forest 4th of July Parade! Our Cub Scouts are Kindergartners through 5th Graders. We enjoy spending time outdoors such as camping, fishing, hiking and physical activities that challenge our scouts physically and mentally. We enjoy giving back to the community via Second Harvest volunteering, shoe box donations for needy children through the Samaritan's Purse Program and neighborhood clean-ups.

California Fire Museum carrying the SET Water Polo Club
California Fire Museum is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve and protect the history and heritage of the fire service in general, with special emphasis on Orange County Fire Services. We are dedicated to conservation, research, restoration, education and community service. Riding in this 1964 fire engine are athletes from the SET water polo club who will be representing our community in the upcoming National Water Polo Junior Olympics later this month. Matt Williams and his coaches, Chris Sauritch (Sar-itch) and Paul White manage the Lake Forest Little League 8 and 9 year old All Star teams.
The 10U All star team is managed by James Hughes and coaches are Ryan Hoffman and Matt Savio.
11U All Stars started their season off with back to back 12-0 wins vs Laguna Beach and Laguna Hills. Managed by Jorge Guevara and his coaches are Tommy Barro and Matt Broesamle (Brazem-le).
Majors Lake Forest All Stars team is managed by Pat Chappell and coaches are Justo Capacete (Cap-a-set-ee) and Al Loaiza (Lo-ayza).
Intermediate managers are District 55 champions with a perfect 3-0 record and move on to Section 10 tournament to see who will be the representative for the SoCal Championships! Managed by Don Loessberg and coaches Brian Griffin and Sam Naber.

1st Law Enforcement Battalion, USMC
Everyone stand up and show your respect for the US Marine Corps (Core). The 1st Law Enforcement Battalion, USMC stood up its first law enforcement battalion in 2012 - resulting in a specialized form of military police officers that can be quickly deployed worldwide to help investigate crimes from terrorism to drug trafficking and train fledgling forces in allied nations.
Members of the battalion will be capable of controlling civil disturbances, handling detainees, carrying out forensic work and using biometrics to identify suspects.
The 1st Law Enforcement Battalion is Lake Forest's adopted military unit.

The Lake Forest USMC Support Committee was established to manage the inter-relationship between the residents, support organizations and businesses of Lake Forest and the Marines of the 1st Law Enforcement Battalion and their families. Orange County Chinese Ladies Group
Orange County Chinese Ladies Group (OCCLG) is a volunteer-run group organized to promote community service by actively contributing in local activities that support our county. Since first formed in early 2013, the group has expanded to include over a thousand members. During the last year, OCCLG has continued monthly volunteering at the Orange County Food Bank, worked with the Los Angeles Children Hospital to launch a Christmas project for children battling cancer, and hosted a series of seminars to help immigrants settle in their new communities. Our group also engages in weekly outdoor activities to promote a healthy lifestyle. We hope to continue supporting this wonderful community next year and wish everyone a happy fourth!

MINI MADNESS MINIATURE THERAPY HORSES is a group of miniature horses that have been trained in order to go indoors and into situations where a regular size horse would never go. We visit hospitals, schools, nursing homes and many other settings. Our mission is to provide children, elders and any person with disabilities therapeutic visits with a gentle affectionate animal. Aliso Viejo Towing really loves a parade and helping out Dancing Like David. This is DLD's 14th year in the parade featuring local Christian artist. This year making their 5th appearance is Orange County's only Gospel Reggae band; King David's Band. Last but not least, we have the 4th of July parade committee & Community Services Staff. This year, Nectar and the Eagle are celebrating the theme of "We Love A Parade".
Thank you for attending the 28th annual City of Lake Forest parade. July is Parks & Recreation month and today we have our Community Services staff handing out some summer giveaways!
