The American Legion Riders of Post 1033 in Elmont are not a motorcycle club. They are an extension of the American Legion to help promote their values. The Riders ride to honor veterans. Those who have passed, those who have served, and those who are currently serving our country. They do this by doing funeral escort, participating in charitable runs, and participating in wonderful parades as today. They are remembering today the Irish veterans who have served. Thanking them for their service.

The founding vision was simple: build a world-class internationally competitive band, comprised of the best Pipers and drummers in the New York metropolitan area.
As talented players from all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey were drawn to the idea of competing on the world stage and advancing the shared cultural heritage through musical excellence. The band quickly grew.
