Westvaco Fire Truck
As Westvacoâs Luke Mill is being demolished after 131 years, the Westvaco fire truck, a 1983 Ford, and the Westvaco steam whistle are being preserved. The beautiful brass steam whistle is mounted to the top of the truck. It began blowing before the era of alarm clocks and automobiles to wake Luke Mill employees in the tri-towns for their shifts.
This whistle, originally a ship whistle, was brought to Luke from Scotland by the mill founders in the late 1800s.

Brendaâs Body Shop is proud to present **âThe Fan Club for Cindyâs Fund.
This yearâs theme, Donât Stop Thinking About Tomorrow, is a celebration of hope, strength, and the people in our community whose lives have been touched by cancer.
The dancers are performing with brightly colored fans, with each color representing different cancer awareness ribbons. But these fans are doing more than adding color to the parade. Money is being raised through the sale of the fans to support Cindyâs Fund, an organization that means so much to families right here in our community.
Today, weâre dancing for the fighters, celebrating the survivors, remembering those weâve lost, and looking toward tomorrow with hope.
Please give a big Autumn Glory welcome to Brendaâs Body Shop and the Fan Club for Cindyâs Fund.

Keira's Autumn Spectacular
Sponsored by Mountain Top Cheer & Dance, this float is proudly presented by Kindness for Keira and features "Keira's Autumn Spectacular." Founded in memory of Keira, whose kindness touched everyone she met, the organization's mission is to encourage people to spread kindness in her name every month. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrated what would have been Keira's 13th birthday in August and remember her today on the fifth anniversary of her passing. Through every act of kindness, Keira's spirit continues to inspire our community. Remember... kindness costs nothing but can mean everything.

High Mountain Gospel Riders
Donât let the motorcycles, leather, and tattoos fool youâthese riders are on a mission! Meet the High Mountain Gospel Riders, our local chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. They love motorcycles, they love people, and most of all, they love Jesus! Youâll find them riding the backroads, serving our community, praying with those who need it, and sharing the hope of Christ wherever the road takes them. They may be a little loud when they roll in, but their message is simple: Jesus loves youâand thereâs always room for one more on the ride!
