Saint Paul Winter Carnival Royal Family
The Saint Paul Winter Carnival is the country's oldest international festival (older than the Pasadena Tournament of Roses) and has been "making mockery of winter" for over 130 years! It started when a newspaper reporter from New York visited St. Paul in January and published that it was "unfit for human habitation." Undaunted, St. Paul businessmen decided to create a winter festival to celebrate the cold and have never looked back!
The 2026 Royal Family is led by Boreas Rex the 89th, Peter Kenefick: Queen of the Snows, Erin Gustafson and Prime Minister, Tom Barrett. The Family also includes 5 kings guards, 4 Winds and Wind princesses. They invite everyone to mark January 28 â February 6, 2027, on their calendars and come celebrate the Coolest Celebration on Earth!
