Grand Marshall - Kurt Kroeshe
Celebrated English teacher Kurt Kroesche set down roots in Los Gatos in 2003, when he arrived in town for a job interview at Los Gatos High School. He lives in town and raised two daughters here, both of whom are LGHS grads. The Stanford grad is an All-American backstroker and a two-time NCAA team champion. He and Physics teacher Rachel Peters started the swim team 19 years ago in hopes of creating a place where kids could belong.
Kroesche has received the LGHS âEducator of the Yearâ award multiple times, though his talents go well beyond the classroom. For example, heâs a singer in the high schoolâs Teacher Band that performs at the annual âFractured Folliesâ variety show. Kroeshe has served as an innovative leader and we are thankful for his lasting impact on the youth in our community.

New Museum Los Gatos
NUMU, formerly known as the Museums of Los Gatos, is celebrating a monumental achievement this year: its 60th Anniversary! The museumâs story began back in 1965 with the inspirational vision of resident Dr. Ethel Dana, who believed every town deserved a museum. The Town of Los Gatos agreed, and in 1967, the museum opened its doors in the old firehouse on Main Street! Today, NUMU stands proudly in the Civic Center Plaza as a vibrant, non-profit center for art and history, continuing to enrich our communityâs cultural life.
They are delighted to have their honored award recipients riding in the parade today, traveling in style in this beautiful, classic 1964 VW Bus! Let's all celebrate 60 years of art, history, and community in Los Gatos! Give a wave to the amazing team from NUMU!

Los Gatos Masonic Center-Mt. Moriah Lodge #292
The history of Mt. Moriah Lodge #292 in Los Gatos, California, reflects its deep roots in the local community and the broader traditions of Freemasonry. Established in 1888, just a year after Los Gatos was incorporated, the Los Gatos Masonic Lodge No. 292 has played a significant role in the townâs development, particularly during the logging boom in the Santa Cruz Mountains that lasted into the early 1900s.
Historical figures from Los Gatos, including prominent residents who were part of the townâs leadership, played pivotal roles in the community and the lodge. Their contributions, grounded in the Masonic principles of brotherhood, morality, and spirituality, have left a lasting impact on the area. These individuals were instrumental in fostering a spirit of community service and philanthropy that continues to characterize the lodgeâs activities.

Tian Guo Marching Band
The Tian Guo Marching Band, formed in 2007 in Palo Alto travels across the country to perform in community parades with their grand sounds, original music scores, and American classics! In addition to practicing music, each band member shares the practice of Falun Dafa, which is a self-cultivation discipline that teaches the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance as well as five meditation exercises. The mission of the Tian Guo Marching Band is to share the beauty of Falun Dafa with the community through music. Band members are happy to return and perform at the Los Gatos Childrenâs Holiday parade and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Falun Dafa Meditation Exercise Team
Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a spiritual practice that millions around the world have made a part of their lives. Rooted in Buddhist tradition, it consists of two main components: self-improvement through the study of teachings, and gentle exercises and meditation.
Their bright yellow uniforms, big smiles, and graceful demonstration of the Falun Dafa meditation exercise movements warm the hearts of parade goers each year.
The meditation exercises are offered as a free community service at parks around the Bay Area. We wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year!
