Every day more than 200 employees and volunteers provide essential public safety services in Carver County. These services include secure detention, administration, 911 communications, law enforcement, and emergency management. The dedicated women and men who serve in these roles are committed to serving everyone with respect and dignity, and doing so with honor, integrity, and pride as outlined in the Carver County's Sheriff's mission statement. Sheriff Kamerud is the 16th Sheriff of Carver County, working alongside the courageous women and men who have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution and laws in protecting our citizens, and he thanks the citizens of Carver County for their ongoing support.

The Chanhassen American Legion 580 color guard is is assisted by the Boy.Scouts
Troop #Troop 330 was founded in 1947 and we have approximately 35-45 boys in our Troop at any given time.
Troop 330 is a scout run operation and pride ourselves on the accomplishments of our young men and women over the years. There is a heavy emphasis is placed on Leadership, Character Development, and Personal Responsibility. These are just some of the keys to our success. Strong mentorship from trained and experienced Adult Leaders creates an atmosphere of learning and safety. Solid support from parents helps us move forward in a positive direction. Scouts learning from fellow Scouts is paramount.
Troop 330 participates in the Chanhassen 4th of July Parade, Memorial Day Ceremony, Veterans Day Ceremony and provide service to our community through various local charities, churches, organizations and our Chartering Organization, The American Legion.

Chris is on the board of directors of Wiggle Your Toes, and organization that empowers people living with limb difference. Chanhassen Fire #1 Chief Vehicle
Battalion Chief Jim Van Asten is driving a 2018 Chevy Tahoe one of the five command vehicles in the fire department. Chanhassen Fire is a combination department comprised of 26 part time firefighters and 10 full time firefighters who staff the Fire Station with a crew of 3, 24/7. A full-time captain is in charge of the crew and Fire Chief and Assistant Chief are supported by 4 part time Battalion Chiefs covering the evenings and weekends. With this staffing model we are able to provide an average on scene time of just over 6 minutes to the over 1,300 calls for service in a year.

Did you know FireTruck ONE was purchased in 2018 to replace a 30yo spartan ladder truck which was sold to the city of Pine City for $25,000? Truck #1, is a 110-foot Velocity Ascendant ladder weighing in at 58,000lbs. It has a 500-gallon water tank and Tak 4 independent front suspension and only a single-axle rear. It carries 1,400 feet of large diameter hose with three pre-connected attack lines. This apparatus was the first piece aerial with a bucket at the end of the ladder purchased in the state of Minnesota.

Semper Fi Flo (SFF) was started when Tim and Molly Ambrose's son enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. SFF is a Minnesota-based 501(c)3 dedicated to helping active-duty military members, veterans, and family members feel valued and supported. We strive to contribute to the well-being and happiness of those who have served our country with honor. Throughout the year, SFF fundraises and collects products and monetary donations from corporate and private donors to deliver our three signature missions:
Active-duty Care Package Missions:
Members of all five branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard) and the National Guard (in time of national crisis) receive SFF care packages throughout the year, including Holidays, Girl Scout Cookie campaign time and in special times of national need.
Family Adoption Holiday Missions: SFF adopts Minnesota-based military families (active duty and veterans) during the holiday season. This will eventually extend beyond Minnesota in the next phase of Semper Fi Floâs growth with the success of the âLetâs Get Flo on the Goâ Road Trip Sprinter Van campaign.

Twin Cities Unicycle Club
The Twin Cities Unicycle Club is the largest unicycle club in the country, and oldest in Minnesota. Club members hold over 30 national titles and 15 world titles in various events ranging from artistic to racing, group riding to mountain unicycling. Members travel all over the world to compete and even host competitions in the Twin Cities. This summer, unicycle riders will come from all over the world to the Unicycling World Championships hosted here in Bemidji, MN.

Llama Mama MN is a Minnesota mobile agritourism business owned by Brenda Zachrison of Chaska MN. Llama Mama MN offers the opportunity to have llamas at any special occasion or event (birthdays, wedding, community and corporate events, holidays, etc.) They also offer guided trail walks on many of the horse trails in the metro area as well as therapy visits. Brenda enjoys meeting people, sharing her llamas, and teaching others about llamas. Llamas as therapy animals is something Brenda is passionate about. Feb Fest
Feb Festival is an annual event put on by the City of Chanhassen and the Rotary Club of Chanhassen to get families out of the house during the deep winter of February. Rotary predrills one thousand holes in ice for the fishing contest, with prizes based on the length of the fish caught.

Ridgeview Ambulance
Ridgeview has provided ambulance services since 1977, when Ridgeview began providing emergency services with one, red Cadillac ambulance, two paramedics and eight Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Ridgeview Ambulance responded to approximately 350 calls in its first year. In 2023, we responded to nearly 18,000 calls.
Ridgeview Ambulance has grown to include a staff of more than 160, including paramedics, EMTs and dispatchers. Ridgeview Ambulance is part of the West Metro Emergency Medical Services System and its suburban/rural area covers approximately 950 square miles across four Emergency Medical Services regions and includes all of Carver County, portions of Hennepin, Le Sueur, McLeod, Nicollet, Scott, Sibley and Wright counties. Ridgeview maintains a fleet of 21 ambulances, three chase cars and two ATVs for special events. Ridgeview also provides management services to Gaylord. Ridgeviewâs state-of-the-art dispatch center is a back-up to Carver Countyâs emergency call center.

Back in 1995, a renegade cow, paintbrush in mouth, painted the three words, âEAT MORE CHIKIN,â on a Texas billboard. From that day forward, the burger-eating landscape was forever changed. These fearless cows, acting in enlightened self-interest, realized that when people eat chicken, they donât eat beef. Today, the Cows herds have increased and their message reaches millions - through television, radio, online, and on the occasional water tower. Through the use of his 4 characters of The Charismatic, The Godinator, The Entertainer, and Godâs Pitbull, he has probably entertained over 3 million people through over 250 parades, the Minnesota State Fair, Sonshine Music Festival, along with other events.
