Farmington Tiger Marching Band
The Farmington High School Band Program is a comprehensive instrumental music education program serving over 300 students. Comprising of four concert bands, four jazz ensembles, competitive marching band, pep band, solo/ensemble contest, winter percussion, and many other small ensembles, FHS band students collaborate with professional conductors, composers, and college ensembles on a regular basis.
The concert ensembles are the nucleus of Farmington High School's band program. Based on grade level and/or audition results, FHS students participate in Varsity Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. The FHS Concert Bands are top-tier ensembles that qualify several students each year for prestigious programs like the Minnesota All-State Band and Orchestra program.
The Farmington Tiger Marching Band has been a staple of football games and area parades for decades, but also began competing in field marching festivals in 2014.
Under the direction of Erin Holmes, the Farmington Tiger Marching Band is proud to perform for our town celebration of Dew Days. The band is proud to announce their development into Class AAA in Youth in Music taking 3rd place in Minnesota. Drum Majors Isabelle Albee, Kimberly Gordon, and Rocket Nyugen ("win") are leading the 125-member ensemble in todayâs performance of Night on Bald Mountain by Modeste Mussorgsky arranged by Jay Bocook.
Staff include Associate Director, Bradley Mariska, Color Guard instructor Yvette Hagel, Percussion Instructors Drew Morrisette and Robert Skogland, and field staff, Elliot Douma and Jeremy Mann.

The Farmington Fire Department has been serving those in need since 1873. They protect approximately square miles, that includes the City of Farmington, the City of Empire, Castle Rock Township, and Eureka Township. The white color of their apparatus dates back to World War 2, when red paint was more expensive. They opted to save money and paint their 1941 engine and that has been the tradition ever since!

Farmington High School Robotics Team
The Farmington High Schools FIRST robotics team 2987 are known as "Rogue Robotics." Each year the team designs and builds a 125 pound robot to compete in the "FIRST Robotics Competition" The team had a very successful season this year, qualifying for and competing at the World Championships in Houston, Texas where they finished with a record of 7-3. The team also uses their skills to give back to our local community through their Go-Baby-Go program where they adapt kids toys for children with mobility difficulties. They also spend time promoting STEM in our middle and elementary schools. The team would like to thank all of their local sponsors for their support to make everything they do possible.

Lakeville Fire & Rescue has been providing emergency services since 1884 covering 38 sq miles of the city and Eureka Township. In 2024, Lakeville began a transition towards a hybrid dept comprising both full-time & paid-on-call personnel. They currently have 6 full-time firefighters & 68 paid-on-call firefighters. Over the next 3 years, the fire dept will enhance its existing paid-on-call team by integrating additional full-time firefighters. Lakeville has 12 fire apparatus housed at 4 stations. Today they are exhibiting their 2016 Rosenbauer Commander Rescue Pumper with a 1500 gpm water pump and 750 gallon water tank. As a neighbor, Lakeville is always ready and willing to assist the surrounding communities.

The Saint Paul Winter Carnival is the country's oldest international festival (older than the Pasadena Tournament of Roses), and has been "making mockery of winter" for over 130 years! It started when a newspaper reporter from New York visited St. Paul in January and published that it was "unfit for human habitation." Undaunted, St. Paul businessmen decided to create a winter festival to celebrate the cold and have never looked back!
The 2024 Royal Family is lead by Boreas Rex the 87th, Steve Doody; Queen of the Snows, Jennifer Westerhaus and Prime Minister, Dani Ross. The family also includes 5 kings guards, 4 winds and wind princesses. We welcome anyone to come and help celebrate the Coolest Celebration on Earth!

The St. Paul Winter Carnival Junior Royalty is just a part of the 138 year old tradition of the St. Paul Winter Carnival.
